Must Be Nice. . .

I got this email (below) from a mentor yesterday. There was a time in my life when it would have pissed me off.

A couple of years ago, I would have been the smug guy in the group.

"Yeah, Fletcher, must be REAL NICE. . .(you f'n asshole)."

These days, I see it way different.

Unlike my mentor, I still have to worry about the financial impact of a $700 Costco trip (or more, if Julia goes by herself!), but I'm excited as hell to be in the footsteps of someone who A)started with much less than I have now and B)is still light years ahead of where I'm at today.

It used to be something to be jealous of.

Now, it's something I appreciate.

It all comes down to perspective.

Once you get over the idea that money is only for social status or the dick-measuring contest, you begin to see that it's more like concrete and bricks.

A material with which you can build the foundation of the life you want to live and the things you want to do.

And I'll tell you this, for sure: It's a lot easier to emulate the people doing what you want to do when your attitude shifts from "must be nice" to "how can I do that?"

Jealous & Smug Tone...

By Ryan Fletcher | March 5th, 2024

To my last email about investing in a Community of private coaches for my son to develop in baseball, one guy replied: "Damn, it must be nice..."

...Followed by a bunch of other bullshit.

It's the same line that people say to those who have a private chef & personal trainer, who buy only organic food, don't have to work, & constantly take nice vacations, etc...

"Damn, IT MUST BE NICE..."

...to have that kind of money.

...to have that kind of time freedom.

...to have those kinds of experiences.

Etc.

And it's not what they say that matters, it's the how they say it. With jealousy & snugness.

The answer is "YES!" - IT IS NICE!

• It's nice to have a personal trainer.

• It's nice to not have to think about the financial impact of a $500-$700 Costco trip.

• It's nice to have retired my wife, so she can choose to work or not, which affects her happiness.

• It's nice having a gym on my property, decked out with Rogue equipment, a dry sauna, & cold plunge.

• It's nice to have a separate office, too, as my sanctuary to do deep work, where I'm surrounded by books, have a podcast studio, & not interrupted

• It's also nice, each month, to do consistent deals in our investment business, as we predictably multiply capital 10:1 ROI - using the ACS Machine.

• It's also nice to have a Community of legit experts & master craftsmen I can turn to, for any challenge or struggle, to get advice or a different perspective.

And while "it's nice..." to have that stuff...

None of it was given to me. It didn't just happen. I didn't inherit any of it or win the lottery.

No!

I've spent the last 15 years in the trenches, committed, sacrificing, mastering the handful of skillsets, that I knew I would need, to BUILD MY WORLD as I imagined it.

My title?

My job?

My identity?

I AM "A WORLD BUILDER."

This is something, with my mom, I have debated many times.

She often says, "Ryan, my son - do you think the world revolves around you?"

I say to her, No, not 'THE world.'

Just 'MY' world.

Everything in my life, 99% of it, is by design. If I find myself disliking even the smallest part of it, or person within it, I move swiftly to remove that thing or person.

My only real priority is the health, happiness, & safety of my wife & kids.

All of my chosen & mastered skill sets feed that purpose!

• Direct response copywriting

• Offer building.

• Media buying.

• Sitcom-based storytelling.

Etc.

As much as people say, "Money isn't everything," & while they're right, it's not. As a Provider, assuming you love your family, it feels shitty not to be a strong income earner.

I know, because I've been there. To constantly say to your wife & kids, "Sorry, but we can't afford that."

To constantly have to make "every decision" based on money.

Do we buy good organic foods?

Or do we poison our kids with cheap processed foods?

Obviously, the smart choice is to buy good organic foods - from farm to table.

But that's expensive, right?

So, what do most say? "Sorry, but we can't afford that."

And this is just one decision.

Which sucks!

Because, literally, for the financially stressed person, there are dozens of these kinds of decisions each day.

Hence the phrase: "IT MUST BE NICE...," they say...

...in that jealous, smug tone...

..." to not have to worry about money."

YES! - IT IS NICE!

But again, none of the things in my life have been given to me.

In a dick-swinging contest... I'll lose.

But let's see your library:

To become the person I am today, so I could build my world exactly as I dreamt it to be, I've had to battle for every fuckin' inch of the journey I've traveled.

Looking back, though, from a financial standpoint, I realized I could have simplified it.

As StoryAthletes know, making money is simple.

Two ingredients:

Traffic + Offer = MONEY

Thus, the only needed skill sets to become a Top 1-5% Provider, so you can BUILD YOUR WORLD, too, exactly as you dream it to be, for your family...

...are those skill sets that apply to:

TRAFFIC

& OFFER

If we look at the 4 components of the World Building Model:

1) - Case Study (as front-end product)

2) - Advanced Strategy (as a bump offer)

3) - Paid Community (as OTO1)

4) - Offer DFY Service/Consulting (as high ticket back-end)

This is nothing but a sequence of Offers!

So, Fletch?...

...what about the Traffic?

Well, I got you covered there, too.

I've been talking with my buddy Jason Hornung, founder of Academy of Advertising, to bring you something special.

I'm not a traffic expert.

But he is.

And, after the 4-week' World Building Model' challenge, starting on March 11th... & after we install the 4 components into your business...

The next step?

You got it - TRAFFIC! = running ads...

(more on this tomorrow)

Btw, I'm sure Jason has heard that same phrase, like me, many times before, too!

"Damn, it must be nice..."

YES! (for the record) - IT IS FUCKING NICE!

And it's available to anyone who commits to mastery & executes superior models.

Ok, back tomorrow,

Remember, if your Character fails in life, it's because you wrote for your Character a shitty script

You have nobody to blame but you!!!
